Attingham Park

Next week's meeting will be an outing to Attingham Park and will this will be on Sunday 9th October (details below).  Do not turn up on Wednesday 5th October as there will be nobody present at the gallery.

Meet - 2.00 pm outside the entrance to Attingham Park grounds where you pay. Admission for National Trust Members is free, but non-members must pay £15.00.

Post Code  = SY4 4TP

From Oswestry follow A5 to Shrewsbury and continue along A5 towards Telford until you reach the B4380 roundabout.  Take the right turn onto the B4380.  Attingham Park is well signposted by Brown direction signs. Follow B4380 for about 2-3 miles until you cross over the river.  Enter the large gates into the parkland on the left and drive through until you reach the car park.

What to expect:    We shall take the Deer Park walk, where you should see large numbers of Roe Deer. Sometimes you can get quite close to the deer but they can be easily frightened so a telephoto lens is ideal.  Easy walking but sturdy footwear is advised.
