Oswestry Photographic Society (OPS) is committed to protecting your personal information and respecting your privacy. This notice explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, and your rights.

1. What information do we collect

We only collect the information necessary for running the Society and keeping in touch with our members:

  • Name

  • Address

  • Email address

  • Telephone number

2. How we use your information

We use your personal data to:

  • Manage your membership

  • Contact you about meetings, events, competitions, and Society news

  • Maintain accurate membership records

  • Meet our legal obligations as a voluntary organisation

We do not use your information for marketing unrelated to OPS, and we do not share your data with third parties unless legally required.

3. How your information is stored

Your details are stored securely by the Membership Secretary and Committee members who need access for Society administration. We take reasonable steps to keep your information safe and prevent unauthorised access.

4. How long do we keep your information

We keep your personal data for as long as you remain a member. If your membership lapses, we will delete your information within 12 months, unless you ask us to remove it sooner.

5. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the information we hold about you

  • Ask us to correct inaccurate information

  • Ask us to delete your information

  • Withdraw your consent to be contacted
